

In the Staple drop-down menu, you can either click On to turn on the staple feature or click On (Eco (Staple-Free)).If you do not see this drop-down menu, click Show Details in the lower left-hand corner of the dialogue box. Click on the drop-down menu with Copies & Pages selected and select Finishing instead.Open the document you want to print and staple, then click on the menu File > Print.Click on the Options tab, and under Output Options make sure that 'Staple Finisher Y1' is listed and selected, then click OK.

Go to your Windows system settings for Printers & scanners.If you use a Canon printer and do a lot of double-sided printing or printing that requires stapling, you can set this as your default option in your print settings as follows: Windows Under the Duplex option choose Long Edge (for portrait documents) or Short Edge (for landscape documents).Select the job you wish to print double-sided.If you have sent your print job from the computer as a normal, single-sided job and want to make it double-sided, you can change this when you release your print job from the printer. Double-sided printing is also referred to as duplex printing.
