In the Staple drop-down menu, you can either click On to turn on the staple feature or click On (Eco (Staple-Free)).If you do not see this drop-down menu, click Show Details in the lower left-hand corner of the dialogue box. Click on the drop-down menu with Copies & Pages selected and select Finishing instead.Open the document you want to print and staple, then click on the menu File > Print.Click on the Options tab, and under Output Options make sure that 'Staple Finisher Y1' is listed and selected, then click OK.

Click on the printer queue you want to use on the left-hand side, then click on Options & Supplies.

Under Stapling, select where you prefer your printed matter to be stapled- Left Upper is the usual choice.

Under Output Options for Duplex, select Long Edge (for portrait documents).

In the General tab, click on Preferences….

Click on your default printer then click on the Manage button.
